WHERE HAS THE ART OF ITALIAN DEFENDING GONE??

"During the 1980s and 90s, Italian defences were world-renowned as the toughest of the lot.
The word catenaccio became known in other languages and jokes about boring Italian teams winning 1-0 were all the rage.
The likes of Franco Baresi, Alessandro Costacurta and Paolo Maldini were hailed while Fabio Cannavaro was a rare defender to win the Ballon d’Or and FIFA world player after his stunning defensive displays helped Italy lift the 2006 World Cup.
Now everything has changed." In the half of this season there are more goals scored in Serie A than in Premiership. Why being sad?? That's great, more goals mean more joy, no?????

The Celtics' historic 19-game streak came to an end on Christmas Day in Los Angeles, as Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant carried the Lakers to a 92-83 win over the World Champions at the Staples Center. I like Lakers but I love Celtics. What the hell does that mean??? Whatever!! The rebound is gonna be on the 5th of February in Boston @ TD Banknoth Garden. I am gonna be there, are youuuu???

CHINESE POCKETS FILLED AS AMERICANS' EMPTIED!!

“Usually it’s the rich country lending to the poor. This time, it’s the poor country lending to the rich.”
-Niall Ferguson
I was checking NY Times to see what's goin on around and this article was interesting to me; It is true that Americans borrow from foreigners, particularly the Chinese, to finance their heavy spendings. As Americans spend too much too keep their American Dream alive, foreigners save too much!!! In the past decade, China has invested upward of $1 trillion, mostly earnings from manufacturing exports, into American government bonds and government-backed mortgage debt. That has lowered interest rates and helped fuel a historic consumption binge and housing bubble in the United States. It should explain a lot about what is goin on in todays' global economy and how United States economy is gettin' more dependent day by day!!!

MILAN BAROS; RISING UP ALL OVER AGAIN

In August 2008, Baroš joined Turkish champions Galatasaray from Olympique Lyonnais for €5.5m, linking up with former Liverpool FC team-mate Harry Kewell. On the 21st of December 2008 14 goals in total, Baroš became the top goalscorer in Turkcell Süper Lig scoring a hat-trick in the thrilling derby encounter with Beşiktaş, converting two penalties and calmly finishing a one-two move with Cassio Lincoln, as Galatasaray won the match 4-2. He looks great under that jersey!! Congrats Milan!!!!!
